*Program Description*

1-on-1 mentoring offers yoga teachers of any experience level the opportunity to sharpen, hone, refine, progress, maximize, and clarify BOTH their technical teaching skills AND their personal practice under the careful – and caring – tutelage of a caring and KNOWLEDGEABLE professional.

The ability to teach yoga skillfully, safely and successfully doesn’t happen automatically upon graduating from a 200 or 500-Hour Teacher Training. Quite the opposite – really, it’s once you’re “out on your own” that your teaching journey really begins. Individual mentoring is designed especially for yoga teachers who have completed a TT program and are now functioning in the field as active teachers.

Once you've been in the classroom for a while, and tucked some real world teaching experience under your belt, it makes so much sense to take a step back and reflect on your skills...

Although individual mentoring with Julia does follow a formal curriculum, the purpose and benefit of working one-on-one comes from the personal guidance you’ll receive. Your mentoring experience will be tailored to YOUR development as a teacher and 100% specific to the unique needs, intentions, goals and aspirations of YOUR teaching.

If you're looking to GROW, EXPAND, + EVOLVE as a teacher, look no further; one-on-one mentoring will rocket you forward on your path to excellence!

The intention of mentoring is several-fold:

  • to provide a concentrated opportunity for you to hone your practical classroom skills and claim ownership over your authentic voice;
  • to deepen your personal practice by advancing your studies of: applied anatomy, detailed alignment, asana refinement, energetic anatomy, pranayama, meditation, and more;
  • to sharpen your technical knowledge with in-depth analyses of both common and advanced postures, the practice of hands-on adjustments, and adaptations for students of varied abilities based on individual needs.

All of this, and so much MORE, under the guidance of a passionate professional with over 15 years of experience teaching movement and nearly 12 years of experience as a full-time yoga teacher.

Can I mentor with a partner?

Totally!  Choose to split the cost of mentoring by teaming-up with one or two friends.  Mentoring with a personal friend or colleague is a fantastic way to receive peer feedback, to exchange ideas, to share in the experience of expanding your skill set, and to have a ton of fun!  You’ll be mentored together as a duo/group but still expected to complete all homework assignments individually.  This option is available to groups of 2 or 3 only.

Rates for duet/group mentoring are available upon request.
